John Richardson (Bishop of Bedford)
The Rt Rev John Henry Richardson is a former Suffragan Bishop of Bedford.[1] He was born on 11 July 1937 and educated at Winchester and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.[2]Ordained in 1964 he began his career with curacies in Stevenage and Eastbourne and was then successively Vicar of Chipperfield then Rural Dean of Rickmansworth[3] and then finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Vicar of St Michael’s, Bishops Stortford.[4] In retirement he continues to minister as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Carlisle.
